Meet Our Team

A collaborative team of therapists offering thoughtful, individualized care for clients across New York

Leor Wasser, LCSW

Leor Wasser is a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, identity questions, and major life transitions. She brings a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach to therapy, with experience supporting clients whose emotional lives are shaped by family, community, spirituality, safety concerns, and past experiences of harm.

Leor has worked extensively with survivors of domestic violence and trauma, including within Jewish communities in New York. Her approach is rooted in trust, nonjudgment, and helping clients feel believed, supported, and understood.

She draws from EMDR, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, brief strategic therapy, and relational approaches to help clients process difficult experiences and build healthier patterns. Leor earned her Master of Social Work from Fordham University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Binghamton University.

About Leor

Leor began her clinical career working with survivors of trauma and domestic violence. Through that work, she learned how powerful it can be when a client finally feels believed.

Her style is warm, steady, and trauma-informed. Leor understands that healing is not only about reducing symptoms. It is also about helping people feel safe enough to talk about what they have lived through, what they need now, and what they want their lives to feel like moving forward.

Leor is especially attentive to the ways trauma, family systems, faith, identity, and emotional safety can intersect. She works with clients from a place of respect, curiosity, and care.

Outside of her work as a therapist, Leor enjoys living in New York City, spending time in Central Park, running, staying active, seeing Broadway shows, and being with family.

About Amy

Amy originally entered social work to create change on a larger scale, spending decades building and leading programs that supported vulnerable and underserved communities. Her professional journey eventually led her into direct clinical work, where she discovered a passion for helping individuals navigate change, healing, and personal growth.

Her own experience recovering from Long COVID deepened her interest in chronic illness, chronic pain, resilience, and the mind-body connection. Today, she works with clients who may be feeling stuck at a crossroads, navigating identity questions, managing anxiety or depression, or learning how to thrive in a world that doesn’t always accommodate neurodivergent experiences.

Amy is committed to creating an affirming, inclusive environment for clients from a wide range of backgrounds and lived experiences, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent adults, people living with chronic illness, and those exploring questions of identity, belonging, and personal growth.

Amy earned her Master of Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work, with a dual major in Administration and Casework, and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Vassar College, where she graduated cum laude in her major.

About Scott

Scott’s path to therapy was a mid-career transition inspired by his own transformative experience in counseling. After years working in the corporate world, he found himself questioning long-held beliefs about success, identity, and the path he was expected to follow. Therapy helped him build a more authentic relationship with himself, and that experience ultimately led him into the helping profession.

Today, Scott works with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, negative core beliefs, childhood experiences that continue to affect them, or larger questions about meaning and purpose. His goal is to help clients develop greater self-understanding, autonomy, and confidence as they navigate life’s challenges.

Scott earned his Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and his Bachelor of Arts in History from American University.

Today, she works with clients using CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, trauma-informed care, and play therapy approaches, adapting treatment to each client’s age, needs, and lived experience.

Randie Bauman-Renna, LCSW, CATP, CASAC

Randie Bauman-Renna is a licensed clinical social worker who works with adolescents ages 15 and older, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, trauma, family conflict, and life transitions.

Randie believes meaningful therapy is about more than feeling supported. It is also about creating movement and lasting change. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and direct. She creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel understood while also being challenged to recognize patterns, explore what may be holding them back, and take meaningful steps toward growth.

With extensive experience in both school and substance use settings, Randie brings a supportive, informed perspective to adolescents, families, addiction, recovery, and the people affected by a loved one’s substance use.

She earned her Master of Social Work from New York University and completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at Queens College. About Randie

Randie has extensive experience in both school and substance use settings, with a particular passion for working with adolescents and families. She supports teens experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, identity development, eating disorders, and other emotional or behavioral challenges.

She also works with adults, couples, and families affected by addiction, including significant others and family members navigating the impact of a loved one’s substance use. Randie understands that therapy does not always mean hearing what you want to hear. Sometimes the most important work comes from gaining a new perspective and being encouraged to make changes that lead to a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Depending on each client’s needs, Randie may draw from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, strength-based, interpersonal, and family-focused therapies. Her work is grounded in compassion, honesty, and the belief that people can move through painful experiences and create meaningful change.

For Randie, being a therapist is deeply meaningful. She finds purpose in helping people recognize their strengths, move through challenges, and experience growth that once may have felt out of reach.

Outside of her work as a therapist, Randie enjoys spending time with family and friends and running by the beach. Being near the ocean is one of her favorite ways to recharge.
